Workshop Our DNA / listen to the soil

october 11th 2021 Art and Landscape International Center (CIAP), Vassivière
Workshop Our DNA / listen to the soil

Workshop project initiated for the exhibition l'âme des écorces at the Louise Michel gallery in Poitiers in 2018, in collaboration with the DNA school Nouvelle Aquitaine.
We have some nucleotides in common with plants: we can thus mix in vitro with the plant thanks to our DNA.
During the workshops, we make our DNA visible using saliva and a few simple ingredients, then we choose a fruit or vegetable with which we would like to mix our DNA.
A scientific and poetic way to become -a little- plant ourselves.

The soil is an environment that escapes us. How can we be attentive to its health and life? Listening to the earth allows us to listen in-situ to the life of the mega and meso fauna of the soil using tools developed in bioacoustics. A healthy soil is noisy.

This workshop is part of the PREAC l'Art e(s)t le vivant programme.
