Sensitive cartography

from March 13th to April 4th 2024 agricultural high school, Amboise
Sensitive cartography

An artistic project carried out in collaboration with Quentin Aurat and Première students (CGEH and CGEVV), based on the socio-cultural education taught by Anaïs Bertrand. As part of the Aux Arts Lycéens et Apprentis programme.

How do you rediscover the life and work of the Amboise agricultural college? With the viticulture-oenology and equestrian classes, we began by exploring the soils of the different sites: vineyards, meadows, gardens, padocks....by chromatography and by listening to the soil invertebrates.
Using bioacoustic microphones and sensors, we also recorded the life of the beehives.
Quentin Aurat proposed wider listening of indoor and outdoor environments using different microphones or telephones.
These recordings are then broadcast into speakers made by the students using simple techniques, cardboard plates and chromatography filters.
These combined productions will give rise to two public presentations, one at the agricultural college in Chartres and another during the festival of healthy and local food at the college in Amboise.
