With two fifth-grade classes from the school in the center of Orsay, as part of the 2km4 initiative launched by SIANA Essonne.
In the fall of 2025, the children collected leaves from trees and plants along the 2km4 route.  Together with Elisa Barrès from SIANA, they identified, documented, and mapped the plants along the path.

Using these leaves and egg cartons, they made sheets of paper. They cut scales out of the papers and assembled them on burlap banners.
These banners represent the skin of the path where they walked, listened, smelled, breathed, and looked at the plants.

In March, the students’ works, with those created in collaboration with Anaïs Tondeur, were exhibited at the Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture Jacques Tati in Orsay.
"Exploring your immediate surroundings—that’s where it all begins.
With support from the 2km4_Pour une écologie joyeuse project, fifth-grade students from the downtown school walked along this trail, which connects the university’s greenhouses to the plateau. They observed the ecosystems they passed through and, most importantly, collected leaf samples.
These leaves were used to make recycled paper and create a shield covered in scales, “the skin of the path,” as well as to make inks.
The students let the inks take shape on a sheet of paper; will the resulting drawings help you answer the question: But what do plants dream of?
