Our DNA

From March 28th to April 28th Pine campus librairy, Bordeaux University, Agen
Our DNA

We have a few nucleotides in common with plants: we can thus mix with plants in-vitro using our DNA.
In short workshops, we make our DNA visible from saliva and simple ingredients, so that it can be transformed into a precipitate. Then we choose fruits and vegetables to do the same on plants to extract another DNA precipitate. We then mix the human and non-human DNA in a test tube.
A scientific and poetic way of creating a chimera and becoming a little plant ourselves.

A device imagined in 2018 with the DNA school in Poitiers. Workshop realized with the cultural service of the University of Bordeaux on the Michel Serre campus in Agen. Exhibited at the media library of the Pin campus, Agen.
