Sound gourds are objects reminiscent of the shape of calabashes used to hold liquids in many cultures.

Made from recycled papier-mâché, they contain speakers that play recordings of testimonials from participants in the Toucher terre project.

Produced during the artist's residency at the Grantham Foundation in 203, the audio sequences evoke the volunteers' memories of their relationship with the earth, the soil.
