l'art e(s)t le vivant

Art and Landscapes pre-academy course
Study days and workshops with Karine Bonneval (artist), Patrick Nadeau (plant designer), Gilles Clément (landscape gardener and botanist), Dénètem Touam Bona (philosopher and exhibition curator), Eric Badel (INRAE researcher), David Redon (Cultural and territorial action advisor, DRAC Nouvelle Aquitaine).

How can the work lead to a new approach to living things?
How have recent scientific approaches to the living world changed the way we make art?
How do artists incorporate the living into their work?

This course, run by the Pôle de Ressources à l'Éducation Artistique et culturelle (PREAC) Art & Paysage, examines the relationship between art and living things, whether plant, animal, mycelial or bacterial.
It is based on works of art and approaches by contemporary artists.

During the event, a mixed audience of teachers, cultural mediators and artists will be able to experiment in workshops led by the artist Karine Bonneval, and take part in fascinating discussions between artists, authors (Karine Bonneval, Patrick Nadeau and Dénétem Touam Bona), scientists (Gilles Clément, Eric Badel) and David Redon (Cultural and Territorial Action Advisor, DRAC Nouvelle Aquitaine).
